Transmission & Distribution

Camp Buehring – SSB 14–18 LV Connections

Location: Bagram Airfield (BAF), Afghanistan
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Philadelphia District

AMC/ISI enhanced Camp Buehring’s power infrastructure by connecting five substations to optimize distribution and reduce dependence on spot generators. Delivered under MATOC Task Order FY23-006 AMD-02, the project included grid integration, trench excavation, load balancing, and demolition of outdated switchgear—executed under extreme site conditions with full coordination and compliance. The result: a more efficient and resilient electrical network aligned with Master Planning 2030.

Design-Build Medium Voltage Power Distribution System

Location: Undisclosed U.S. Military Base – Middle East
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Philadelphia District

AMC/ISI delivered a turnkey 11kV power distribution system, including over 21,000 feet of cabling, compact substations, transformers, and switchgear upgrades. Designed to reduce spot generation and improve energy reliability, the project was executed under strict U.S. DOD and local environmental standards. Despite logistical constraints, AMC/ISI completed the system ahead of schedule, with full O&M documentation and training provided to ensure long-term operational efficiency.

Bagram Airfield – West Side Feeder Expansion & LED Lighting Upgrade

Location: Bagram Airfield (BAF), Afghanistan
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Philadelphia District

AMC/ISI designed and installed a new 600A, 13.8kV feeder (Feeder 24) to offload and rebalance existing circuits at Bagram Airfield. The project included four miles of overhead and one mile of underground distribution, integration with Prime Power, and installation of 7,000 meters of energy-efficient LED security lighting. Completed ahead of schedule, the upgrade enhanced system resilience, supported future growth, and improved perimeter safety.

Shindand Airbase – Power Infrastructure Upgrade

Location: Shindand Airbase, Afghanistan
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Philadelphia District

AMC/ISI designed and installed a new medium-voltage power distribution network to support a major expansion at Shindand Airbase. The project included three 600A 13.8kV feeders, 60 pad-mounted transformers, and over 11 miles of overhead and underground cabling. Despite wartime constraints and multiple design changes, AMC/ISI delivered a secure, scalable, and fully compliant system on time.

Camp Marmal – Medium Voltage Power Distribution & Facility Connections

Location: Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Philadelphia District

AMC/ISI executed nine task orders to install 4160V overhead and underground feeders, 20 transformers, and 25 distribution panels, delivering permanent power connections across Camp Marmal. Despite severe climate and logistical challenges, all work was completed on time, restoring reliable power to critical facilities ahead of peak summer heat.
